SGI to demonstrate broadcast and production solutions at IBC2003


With its support for two streams of high-definition 10-bit 4:4:4:4 RGBA video, Tezro delivers high-definition video capabilities that were previously only available on SGI Onyx family systems.

SGI will demonstrate InfiniteStructure broadcast and production solutions at IBC2003. The solutions provide true file sharing at production speeds with choice of both NAS and SAN storage architectures.

SGI will also show a Media Server for broadcast systems including support for D10/IMX MPEG-2 compression, DVCPRO25/DVCPRO50 compression, and MXF file format.

Additionally, the company will demonstrate Silicon Graphics Tezro visual workstation running flame and backdraft for HD compositing, SGI Onyx 350 InfiniteReality4 system running MTI Restore for film restoration and SGI workstation running SGO Mistika for editing and compositing.
