Sencore Appoints New CEO

John Suranyi has been appointed as the new CEO of Sencore, the Sioux Falls, S.D.-based producer of advanced video signal delivery equipment and electronic measurement instruments. He succeeds Al Bowden, who announced in February that he was leaving the company.

Formerly, Suranyi served as president of sales & service at DirecTV, CEO of Cheetah Advanced Technologies, and national vice president, Dish Network Service Corp.

In January, The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm, announced that it had acquired Sencore. “John is the right person at exactly the right time”, said Kristin Newhall, Riverside Partner. “His proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, value, and growth has never been more important to Sencore than in this challenging economic environment. We look forward to working closely with John and the Sencore team on expanding the company’s product offering and expanding internationally.”

A Jackson, Wyoming native, Mr. Suranyi earned a BS in Business from the University of Wyoming and has held numerous executive management positions in communications industry, the primary market for Sencore’s products.
