Custodia Terræ Sanctæ, the Franciscan ministry that acts as the guardian of Catholic holy sites in the Middle East, chose SatLink Communications as its global transmission provider for all its radio and television services.
SatLink helped transmit Christmas services live from the Church of St. Catherine, adjacent to the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem, as well as provide a fibre-optic link between the Franciscan Multimedia Center at Terra Sancta College in Jerusalem and the SatLink teleport.
The fibre connectivity allows the multimedia centre to connect with custody sites across the Holy Land. It also gives Catholic broadcasters coming to the region access to state-of-the-art studio facilities for distribution of content from Jerusalem.
