RTNDA calls for 2008 Murrow, Unity Award entries

The Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) has begun accepting entries for the 2008 Edward R. Murrow Awards and RTNDA/Unity Awards.
Presented since 1971, the Murrow Awards honor excellence in journalism. Categories for the 2008 awards include:
- Continuing Coverage
 - Feature Reporting
 - Feature: Hard News
 - Investigative Reporting
 - News Documentary
 - News Series
 - Newscast
 - Overall Excellence
 - Sports Reporting
 - Spot News Coverage
 - Use of Sound
 - Videography
 - Web site (broadcast affiliated)
 - Web site (non-broadcast affiliated)
 - Writing
 
Television entries must be submitted on DVD and be postmarked no later than Jan. 31, 2008. Late entries will be accepted postmarked until Feb. 10, 2008, but a $25 late fee will be assessed per entry.
The RTNDA/Unity Awards recognize news organizations for coverage of diversity issues. The same deadlines apply.
