PBS' 'NewsHour' Goes HD

HDTV network HDNet and PBS' "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" are coproducing a series of international news reports in hi-def for a program called "HDNet World Report." The series starts with a report on the Mexican drug war.
HDNet World Report aired the first segment of a two-part premiere on Wednesday, June 26 on channel 199 on DirecTV. The second part will air at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3rd. The NewsHour, broadcast weeknights on PBS, includes a separate report by correspondent Jeffrey Kaye.
