Boston-based graphic effects company Boris FX is acquiring Final Effects Complete (FEC) from Optibase. The FEC package includes Studio Effects, Next Effects and ICE FX; Boris will continue to provide maintenance and support for the products.
FEC offers more than 100 plug-ins for Adobe After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro and other NLE editing systems. For example, FEC can generate full-featured 2D and 3D particle animations including action, explosions, distortions, jet trails, hair, liquid mercury distortions and color transitions.
Final Effects will be bundled with Boris Continuum Complete (BCC)--a suite of native plug-in filters and transitions for Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, Discreet Combustion and Boris Red.
