On2 will become the exclusive reseller of the Quicklink laptop newsgathering system (LNG) in the United States. The companies have also renewed their relationship for the use of the VP6 video codec in the LNG.
The LNG system has two major applications. The first is Live Broadcaster, which allows broadcasters to transmit high-quality live video over IP networks. The second product is the File Broadcaster, which lets users record, store, compress and edit broadcast-quality video files on a laptop computer and then transmit them over an IP network.
