OmniBus Systems to debut G3 products at IBC2004

Omnibus Systems will demonstrate a suite of new products based on its G3 technology at IBC2004 at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam, Sept. 10-14

G3 Control is a station management system that offers flexibility in providing device access, operation and management over distributed networks.

OmniBus G3 technology employs standard IT protocols and is based on a "componentware" architecture that shifts the emphasis from applications to specific tasks. Users can control and configure OmniBus automation and selected broadcast equipment into a customized workflow.

The company will also unveil a software development kit that will enable customers and partners to create and integrate their own solutions into a G3 environment. Users can integrate all of their broadcast systems under a single operational interface, simplifying the running of a facility, management of its systems and staff training.

New G3-based products to be demonstrated at the show include G3 Control, a station management system that offers flexibility in providing device access, operation and management over distributed networks for efficient, integrated broadcast operations. It encompasses solutions for router control, machine control and integration with signal processing equipment, all from a customizable user interface with access available to multiple local and remote users.

The company will also offer a HeadLine news system, featuring ingest for automated and ad hoc recordings. HeadLine TX playout can be used in a simple form for Betacart-style playout, but will adapt to perform more advanced automation with graphics, timelines and secondary events. It also seamlessly integrates with the latest version of MOS and is compatible with major newsroom systems such as ENPS and iNews. For more information visit www.omnibus.tv OmniBus at stand #8.548.
