NSI introduces its smart antenna system

The NuPod can automatically track an aircraft via an incoming telemetry system.

NSI has an automatic antenna system specifically designed for mobile operations. The NuPod is a low-profile system that incorporates a directional antenna and continuous rotation positioner encapsulated within in a non-conductive radome.

The NuPod features two modes of automatic antenna alignment:

  1. Via the selection of a fixed location
  2. Via the selection of an incoming telemetry datastream

The NuPod can be remotely controlled from the studio or command center by the NSI MC5 PC-based touchscreen remote control. The Auto Link function of the MC5 automatically aligns the NuPod as well as the central receive antenna.

The system can automatically track an aircraft via an incoming telemetry system. It can also automatically switch to an uplook antenna for fly-over operations.
