NMT's New HD Truck Outfitted with Thomson Grass Valley Gear

NMT has rolled out its latest HD production truck, "HD4" which will be used to broadcast Monday Night Football next season on ABC. The truck has already been booked as part of a multi-year contract extension with the network, which will also use it to broadcast all ABC Sports remote productions, including college football, PGA Tour events and ABC's scheduled telecast of Super Bowl XXXX in Jan. 2006.

NMT -- which claims the largest U.S. HD mobile fleet -- says the truck is outfitted with equipment that targets a "plug and play" environment at most venues in the country. It has a Thomson Grass Valley XtenDD HD High-definition Production Switcher, Trinix 512 Digital Video Routing Switcher, Concerto Series Routing Switcher, SSL MT+ Digital Production Console and 22 LDK 6000 mkII Multi-Format Cameras. The HD4 has over 640 interior square feet and an expandable side designed to eliminate jamming and the need for the trailer to be on a level surface.

National Mobile Television is a provider of mobile analog, digital and HD TV facilities for the production of TV and Internet broadcasts from remote locations. It provides facilities and services for more than 6,000 events for broadcasters, including ABC Sports, CBS Sports, ESPN, Fox News and Fox Sports.
