The Associated Press (AP) will include exclusive content relating to the 2008 Beijing Olympics from NBC Universal’s Sports and Olympics division as part of a premiere online video service the AP plans to launch soon.
The new Web-based service will feature interactive graphics, multimedia elements and text content produced by the AP. NBC Sports and NBC Olympics will provide links to exclusive video and other online content generated by NBC.
The AP said the joint effort would provide it with premium coverage leading up to the Olympics next summer as well as during the 17 days of international competition in Beijing.
NBC Universal is the exclusive broadcaster in the U.S. for the 2008 Olympic Games, which begin in August.
