NEC announced its affiliated company NEC Solutions (China) Ltd. had received orders for three DTV transmitters for installation in China. Shanghai Technology Development Co. Ltd ordered a 2.5 kW digital TV transmitter for installation in the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Shanghai Media and Entertainment Group will operate this transmitter. Shanghai Oriental Pearl Transmission Co. Ltd. ordered two 1.2 kW digital TV transmitters. These will be installed in the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower as well.
