NBC boosts content presence on Web

NBC is expanding its Web offerings, enhancing digital platforms with additional television content to “Heroes 360” and “The Office 360.”

In addition to making extra content available, The Office 360 will allow online users to create their own branches of the comedy’s fictional Dunder-Mifflin paper company with different challenges to complete. The branches could be integrated into a network episode of the show.

A new version of Heroes 360 will present more chapters of this season’s graphic novel feature with character backstories as the show evolves during the season.

The site will also include a Web-exclusive soap opera series called “Coastal Dreams.”

“Deal or No Deal” will feature the stories of past contestants, while “30 Rock” will offer a blog from Judah Friedlander’s writer character. Other material will be added for “Las Vegas,” “ER,” “Medium,” “Lipstick Jungle,” “Bionic Woman,” “Chuck,” “Journeyman” and “Life.”

The network will also offer virtual tours of every show set, a community called MyNBC, and a casting agency twist on fantasy games called NBC Fantasy Talent Scout.
