Fox Sports is employing Chyron Corp.'s Duet graphics and animation system for Fox's on-air coverage of NASCAR. NASCAR is the highest-rated sport of the season, with an average of 10 million viewers every week.
The Duet SD with Lyric has provided Fox with an on-air graphics and animation system for NASCAR on Fox's signature look. Operators animate pages back-to-back while working on text, go from one directory or browser to another, attach audio files to clips and seamlessly interface with pages from outside data sources.
A Fox official stated that Duet streamlined the workflow from concept and design to air, and gave the network speed, flexibility and reliability for covering close to 100 races.
