NASCAR Media Group teams up with Crawford for transmission services

NASCAR Media Group has contracted Crawford Communications to use its Teleport transmission facilities to send and receive programming and other elements for NASCAR Media Group’s new HD (1080i) production facility in Charlotte, NC.

John Martin, managing director of business operations for NASCAR Media Group, said the new partnership has created additional business opportunities and broadcast capabilities that Crawford and NASCAR Media Group can now offer corporations, major news networks and sports organizations.

Within NASCAR Media Group’s broadcast and production facility, there are three studios and several live stand-up locations available throughout the NASCAR Hall of Fame and NASCAR Plaza complexes. Clients within and outside the motor sports industry can use the studios, production facilities and the newly dedicated Crawford Connect @ NASCAR Media Group transmission services. These services include the necessary facilities and bandwidth to support live interviews, corporate communications, interactive conferences, live events and tape feeds that can be transmitted virtually anywhere in the world.

As a point-of-presence in the city, Crawford Connect @ NASCAR Media Group will meet the demand for occasional-use feeds. Clients will be able to deliver HD and SD content live or taped from Charlotte to any market around the globe using this extensive fiber network via local SDI loops.
