By TVTechnology published
The NAB's Satellite Uplink Training Seminar will take place at its Washington, D.C. headquarters, October 14-17.
The seminar will instruct attendees about uplink operational practices, which minimize the risk of satellite transmission interference.
The conference is held annually to assist broadcasters with meeting FCC requirements that a trained operator be present at all times during transmissions. Participants will gain an understanding of satellite communications systems, equipment, operating guidelines and safety and interference management techniques.
The NAB has trained more than 300 satellite uplink operators, engineers and engineering managers from radio and television stations, universities and satellite services across the U.S.
Norman Weinhouse of Norman Weinhouse Associates will conduct the course.
