NAB: 28 More Stations Go Digital

The NAB indicated today that 28 local broadcast stations have joined the ranks of those transmitting digital signals. The new DTV station total stands at 1,129 stations in 202 markets serving 99.35 percent of U.S. TV households.

In addition, a little more than 84 percent of the more than 106 million U.S. TV households are in markets with five or more broadcasters airing DTV and 59 percent are in markets with eight or more broadcasters sending digital signals, the NAB said.
