MTSU installs new video boards for football, basketball venues

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is the latest college athletics program to upgrade its display systems. The new displays will feature full-color, LED display technology and will be ready for the Blue Raider football and basketball teams’ respective 2007 home openers.

At Floyd Stadium, Blue Raider football fans will see the addition of a large custom football display system highlighted by an 18ft by 32ft Daktronics ProStar video display. The system also features a custom football scoreboard that offers vital game information. Atop the display is a custom Sportsound sound system.

Murphy Athletic Center will also use LED technology in the form of two suspended end-wall basketball displays. Each end-wall display features a Daktronics ProStar video display measuring approximately 9ft by 17ft. Surrounding each video screen are custom basketball scoreboards displaying the latest game information.

The new football and basketball display systems will be controlled by a Daktronics Venus 7000 controller, V-Link video processor and All Sport controller, and will provide ample sponsorship opportunities with numerous sponsor panels.
