MSTV launches classified ad site to assist with DTV transition

The Association for Maximum Service Television (MSTV) launched an online classified ad site to help broadcasters buy and sell equipment they need to complete their transition to digital TV service.

The association does not receive a commission or other payment related to the equipment sold from ads on the new site. However, it does charge $75 to place a classified ad. Listings will remain on the site for one year, the association said.

The new site provides “a centralized source” where broadcasters can go to find the equipment they’ll need as the February 2009 DTV deadline approaches, said association president David Donovan.
