Miranda targets midsized broadcasters at IBC

At the upcoming IBC conference in Amsterdam this September, Miranda Technologies will launch a new version of the Kaleido-X multi-image display processor — with all the benefits and advanced features of the original unit. The enhanced version is targeted at midsized operations and fits in a 4RU frame. Both products run the same software and hardware, so features developed for the high-end Kaleido-X FR7 will be available on the Kaleido-X FR4 at the same pace.

The new Kaleido-X FR4 can display any of its 32 HD/SD-SDI and analog inputs, any number of times, at different resolutions and sizes up to full screen, over four monitors without any grouping restrictions.

Both Kaleido-X platforms share a common manual control system for remote panel or mouse button. Layout configurations can be changed instantly with XEdit software, and users can dynamically zoom one source larger for quality control or audio monitoring of an on-screen source.

All the multi-image outputs can be grouped to create highly integrated monitoring systems. Alternatively, the displays can be independently controlled for use in multiroom environments via one or more remote control panels.

Miranda's IBC lineup will also include multiple new products across the breadth of the company's range, including the Imagestore 750 HD/SD master control switching and channel branding processor with Xpanel control software; the Densite' series XVP-1801 up-, down- and crossconverter with AFD; and the iControl remote station monitoring package.
