Medea debuts Fibre Channel RAID storage arrays

Medea has introduced its latest Fibre Channel platform with the release of the new VideoRaid FCR2 and FCR2X RAID storage arrays. The new family features 2Gb/s Fibre Channel interfaces and enables the construction of low cost, secure and scalable collaborative work environments for multiple users.
The solutions are optimized for a variety of high bandwidth applications, including HD video editing with the FCR2X. The FCR2 is equipped with a single channel 2Gb/s Fibre Channel interface and provides sustained data transfer rates of 180 Mb/s. The FCR2X comes with dual 2Gb/s Fibre Channel interfaces delivering sustained data transfer rates of up to 320Mb/s.
Both arrays support all Fibre Channel modes including loop and switched fabric. The arrays also integrate seamlessly with a variety of SD and HD plug-in cards from companies including CineWave, Blackmagic Design and AJA Video Systems.
