LMDigital introduces HiCAMM integrated router, console system

At NAB2004, LMDigital introduced Human Interface Control and Audio Media Mainframe (HiCAMM), which unites characteristics of analog and digital products to produce an integrated router and console for television and radio.

The HiC control surface runs on embedded DSP technology using LINUX to offer the power, speed and reliability of EPROM technology while retaining the flexibility of traditional software configuration tools.

Frames can be linked together, without limitation on quantity, to increase control surface power and functionality while working within the parameters of an existing facility’s space or design.

The HiC’s non-PC-based technology also features hot-swap modules and LMDigital’s patented Pre-Charge Technology.

The LMDigital Audio Media Mainframe (AMM) follows open architecture with its module positions and is based on a 256 time division multiplex backplane. The AMM uses embedded software technology in conjunction with the LINUX operating system to provide a flexible, stable digital audio platform.
