Leitch Technology has won a multi-million dollar contract to supply an eight-channel transmission and archive system to the Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) in Jordan. The installation, located at Jordan Media City Co. (JMC) in Amman, centralizes the existing Arab Radio and Television transmission and archive services based in Italy and Egypt.
The Leitch server system has the capacity to expand to 16 channels for future growth. The centralized storage and the ability to connect systems via an IP network provide access to media by one or more users and the ability to supply multiple services. The integration of the Leitch solution with third-party applications from Pebble Beach provided an end-to-end automated operation.
