Digital Transaction Group installed its Xe Automation software at KTTC in Rochester, Minn. this month. The Xe system automated two on-air channels for the Quincy-owned station.
Brendan Ford, production manager for KTTC who oversaw the project said the installation went well and that viewers did not notice any change. "The key to the whole process is not to disrupt the viewers," he said.
The Xe software from Austin, Texas-based DTG uses nonproprietary OTS software and standard IT networking to streamline system commissioning.
