It's 'A New Day' for Doremi

Doremi Labs' V1-UHD uncompressed HD disk recorders are providing visual playback for Celine Dion's "A New Day..." show at The Colosseum in Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The show boasts the largest indoor LED screen in the U.S. (see Caesar's Palace Debuts Largest HD Video Screen in North America)

CDA Productions Las Vegas selected three V1-UHD's and Sony Systems Solutions Division purchased and installed the system. The show's video is recorded in 1080i via the V1-UHD's HD-SDI inputs. The HD video is displayed on the LED screen and several Digital Projection Lighting 28SX projectors.

Video playback is determined by Celine Dion's band. This is achieved by converting the MIDI time code generated by the band to an LTC signal fed to the V1-UHD for video playback. The Doremi disk recorder records and plays up to eight channels of AES/EBU or analog audio and has VTR-like front panel controls and frame accurate playback.
