ION Media Networks has become a member of the Association for Maximum Service Television (MSTV), the company announced Jan. 3.

The decision to join MSTV is based on shared positions on industry issues relating to protecting, improving and advancing U.S. over-the-air digital television broadcasting, including creating a unified standard for mobile digital broadcast TV reception nationwide.

ION Media Networks owns and operates one of the nation's largest broadcast TV station groups. ION Television reaches more than 94 million U.S. TV households via its nationwide broadcast television, cable and satellite distribution systems.
