Inscriber Provides CG Effects for Jerry Lewis Telethon

The CBS Electronics Department used Inscriber CG FX to create graphics for the recent Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. The program lasted 21.5 hours and raised $58.3 million.

Inscriber CG·FX was used to display the growing donation totals throughout the telethon. The CBS effects operators imported the Jerry Lewis MDA logo into CG·FX and employed five different effects with two backgrounds. The logo exploded the old number totals off the screen before revealing a new total.

Inscriber CG·FX includes the ability to combine streams of dynamic data with video and graphics. Live broadcast productions can use it to produce graphics and real-time animations while integrating statistics or other newswire information automatically. It also has the new capability to develop custom-programmed interfaces using Inscriber RTX API.
