InFocus debuts programs targeted to education sector

InFocus recently unveiled a wide variety of initiatives designed to boost sales and support of projectors and other products used in shared learning environments. The company announced a combination of pricing schemes, support and partnerships within the educational community, and a new reseller network aimed at enabling schools to upgrade their technology within a reasonable pricing structure.

The sweeping new initiatives begin with special pricing, rebates and extended warranties on projection technologies. From there, educators purchasing InFocus equipment will have product demonstrations, product training and support, and hands-on instructions available to them thanks to a newly organized network of educators and students familiar with the technology.

Meanwhile, the company joined the Education Research & Development Institute (ERDI) and the Higher Education Research & Development Institute (HERDI) to obtain more information about the technological needs of the K-12 and higher education markets through in-depth panel discussions and relationships with other educators. The company hopes to educate the market on how its LP540, LP640, LP70 and LP120 projectors can be used in classroom settings, and get a sense of what direction their product development team needs to go to meet future needs.
