ICE awards to recognize excellence in production and post

NAB, in cooperation with Future Media Concepts (FMC), is launching the NAB Individual Creative Excellence (ICE) Awards to recognize those who stretch creativity and craft outstanding works in production and post production. The awards will be announced by June 7, 2004, via e-mail and on the NAB Web site.

Future Media Concepts, based in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Miami and Orlando, is a certified training provider for Adobe, Apple, Avid, Boris, Digidesign, Discreet, Macromedia, Newtek, SoftImage and Sony.

Awards will be given in the categories of editing, graphics and animation, audio production and sound design, producing and directing, interactive design, and videography and photography. Each craft is further classified into the broadcast, non-broadcast or student industries, and then into additional specific genres.

The entry fee is $125 for the first piece of work submitted and $100 for each additional piece of work (or for consideration of the piece in additional categories). The deadline for entries is May 7, 2004. For complete rules and other information, visit www.nabshow.com/iceawardsrules.asp.

The judging committee for the ICE Awards includes instructors, magazine writers and editors, senior certified instructors, industry executives, trade organization leaders, and other professionals.
