IBC2007 to offer insight into rapidly changing media, entertainment technology

IBC2007 opens this September in Amsterdam during a period of accelerated evolution in the production and delivery of television and cinema, and an equally frenetic changing pace in creating and delivering video intended for emerging Web, mobile and IPTV technologies.

This year’s IBC conference program, Sept. 6-10, and exhibition, Sept. 7-11, at the RAI in Amsterdam will tackle this wave of change with an insightful lineup of papers, tutorials, master classes, discussions and panels and real-world technology exhibits designed to prepare and enlighten attendees.

In its 40th year, IBC’s conference program is once again organized around daily technology themes, including broadband networks and IPTV, digital lifestyles services, production and protection of content, global broadcasting trends, HDTV and digital cinema.

IBC2007 will also provide more than 800 exhibitors with an opportunity to show off their latest technologies. Exhibitors will be grouped by categories including content delivery systems; post production, film transfer and graphics systems; audio systems; playout automation systems; antennas and transmitters; studio systems; displays; and IPTV and mobile technology.

The international conclave will also offer organizations a forum to present their ideas at the Technology Campus, where authors of conference papers have an opportunity to demonstrate the technology presented in their papers.

A new addition to IBC2007 will be the IPTV Zone, where visitors will have the chance to learn more about the technologies making possible the delivery of broadcast content via telco infrastructure and broadband networks.
