IBC2005: Tandberg Television Offers Fully Integrated HD Compression
By TVTechnology published
Tandberg Television will highlight developments in its fully integrated video compression systems for HD and SD at IBC in September. The company will debut its newly integrated N2 On-Demand Solutions with systems for broadcast and dynamic content management and delivery, as well as broadband cable and IPTV VOD.
As the world of TV rapidly changes, the drive towards HD Internet Protocol delivery and on-demand viewing is altering the way that content is consumed, paid for, and finally, delivered, according to Tandberg Television. The company, based in Oslo, Norway, also will demonstrate its encoding systems for MPEG -4 AVC and VC-1 for HD and SD throughout the broadcast chain--from its latest-generation HD newsgathering solutions, to deployed SD IPTV and HD satellite DTH (direct to home) networks.
