While mom might have gotten flowers or candy along with a card for Mother’s Day Sunday, what she really wanted may have been an HDTV or some other type of consumer electronics device.
Online retailers TigerDirect.com last week released its first annual top 10 index of the hottest consumer electronics and computer products for Mother’s Day, and an HDTV made the list.
According to the National Retail Federation, consumers planned to spend about $1.8 billion this year on consumer electronics and computer products for mom. The top three items on the TigerDirect.com list included a digital photo display frame and two digital cameras. Coming in at No. 10 on the list was the Vizio GV42L 42in LCD HDTV.
