HDNet has licensed the high-definition television rights to an extensive selection of feature films in a long-term deal with Warner Brothers Domestic Cable Distribution (WBDCD). The deal represents HDNet’s first-ever acquisition of an HDTV feature film package.
Under the terms of the agreement, WBDCD will provide HDNet with about 30 feature films each month. Each film will have been converted to high-definition format for broadcast on HDNet via satellite and cable distribution.
The package offers a diverse slate of popular films made by film directors ranging from Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese to Clint Eastwood and Barbra Streisand.
