FCC Experimental Actions

The FCC report on experimental applications granted from 3/1/2004 to 4/1/2004 included a few licenses that may be of interest to readers.

Duke Power Company was granted an experimental license to operate between 1.7 to 30 MHz for broadband power line testing in Charlotte, NC. EF Johnson was granted authority to use frequencies in the 150-174, 450-412, 762-806 and 806-869 MHz bands for equipment manufacturer's testing of radios at their facility in Irving, Texas. The East Elementary School Radio Club was given an experimental license to use frequencies between 27.425 and 27.255 MHz "for school testing" in Kansas City, MO. Radio Propagation Services was allowed to use 2-30 MHz for test and development of chirping technology.
