By TVTechnology published
In yet another mobile deal announced last week, Verizon Wireless and AT&T wireless customers can watch all of the alternative sporting events on their mobile phones. ESPN, creator of the X Games, and QUALCOMM’s MediaFLO USA division have created EXPN, a mobile video channel providing 24/7 coverage of 14th annual X Games live from Los Angeles.
The mobile channel — available to AT&T Mobile TV and to Verizon V CAST mobile TV subscribers — will carry 31 hours of live X Games coverage from July 31 to Aug. 3.
In addition, EXPN will provide “Best of the X Games” programming starting July 16, with highlights of BMX Freestyle, Moto X, Skateboard and Rally Car Racing events, and a recap of the Games from August 4-8.
The X Games will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
