Echostar's Dish Network satellite television service debuted two interactive channels: Trivia, offered by Buzztime and featuring pop culture questions in six categories; and Fantasy Cup Auto Racing, offered by Silverstar Holdings and featuring monthly contests in which racing fans can pick eight drivers in four categories whose results match the actual Nascar Nextel Cup points earned by the driver during the month.
The channels bring Dish Network's total of OpenTV-powered interactive programs to 22, including Weather, with instant weather updates from AccuWeather, and Customer Service, which enables customers to view their statement and pay their bill.
