Discreet to roll out new versions of inferno, flame, flint

A new version of the inferno is set to be unleashed at this year's NAB convention.

At NAB2004, Discreet will announce new versions of its inferno, flame and flint advanced visual effects systems and showcase its latest developments for Linux-based PCs.

Discreet will also demonstrate the latest versions of its nonlinear editing and finishing systems fire and smoke and new infrastructure solutions including technology demonstrations of Open Access – Discreet's non-proprietary collaborative workflow designed specifically for high-performance digital data production.

In addition, Discreet will showcase its next generation solutions and new data-centric workflows for digital film and video. Discreet's booth will feature a new Digital Intermediate film theater with future technology demonstrations of lustre and other Discreet systems centered around high performance 2K and 4K film workflows. Discreet will also preview powerful new technology for collaborative content creation.

Discreet will also showcase its software solutions: 3ds max for 3D animation, combustion for desktop graphics and effects and cleaner encoding.
