Sweden-based DTV satellite equipment provider Digital Vision AB has signed a contract with PBS to deliver DTV receivers and decoders in a deal worth approximately $5 million.
The contract will be divided into three deliveries and is valid for a three-year period. Digital Vision expects the first order to be placed in a few weeks, with delivery by the end of 2002. Digital Vision will equip PBS's 175 members, who operate 349 public TV stations, with the recently developed receivers and decoders aimed for HDTV and SDTV.
