Digital news workflow road show a success
Harris, The Associated Press (AP), Sony Electronics and Sundance Digital have teamed up to present a traveling demonstration of digital news technology. Each company also demonstrated how their technology fits into a virtually tapeless workflow. Following a successful tour that traveled across southern California in February, more dates are now in the works.
The joint road show highlighted the open interoperability of each vendor's products as part of an end-to-end digital news solution. Harris showed its Leitch Nexio server system as part of an integrated digital news workflow and on-air, play-out management solution.
The demonstrations also featured the Leitch NewsFlash and NewsFlash Preditor NLEs; Harris Inscriber character generators; AP's broadcast news production system, ENPS; Sundance Digital’s NewsLink for newsroom automation; and Sony’s MFS-2000 production switcher.
