Dell Readies for Mini 10 Netbook Orders

At this year's CES, Dell introduced the Mini 10 netbook. Two of the features that separated it from networks from Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and others, was a 720p display and TV tuner.

Wednesday Tom's Hardware reported on the Mini 10's ship date, pricing and initial configuration. Unfortunately the first units, which will be available on Dell's Web site for ordering late next week, will not include the 720p display or the ATSC tuner. Base configuration pricing will start at $399. The Mini 10 uses the Intel Atom CPU (either a 1.33 GHz or 1.66 GHz processor) and includes a Webcam and an HDMI output port as standard features, along with 802.11g Wi-Fi, a 160 GB hard drive, a 4-in-1 memory card reader and a 3-cell battery.

Dell promised the 720p display and TV tuner would be available in future models, along with other options including Bluetooth, integrated GPS, and mobile broadband, but did say when.
