Allbritton-owned ABC affiliate WJLA-TV and cable Newschannel 8 in Washington, D.C., plan to consolidate their facilities this fall and will use the Associated Press' Electronic News Production System to integrate and manage the resources and on-air news content of their two newsrooms.

The 200 journalists on staff will be able to use the ENPS to access every multimedia content server in the office for use in assignment planning, newsgathering, scripting, editing and sharing multimedia. ENPS will also give help the stations to better tailor broadcasts to specific local audiences. It will enable Newschannel 8 to better control zoned news programs and connected advertising.
