Dayang announces DP-Edit-Plus video editor

Dayang’s new DP-Edit-Plus NLE offers real-time editing of up to four layers.

China’s Dayang has announced the DP-Edit-Plus, a broadcast-quality nonlinear video editor for independent or networked environments.

The new system offers full real-time editing of up to four layers. An integral Dayang D3-CG character generator enables titles and subtitles to be handled on an independent timeline, simplifying precise synchronization with audio and video content. Customized media resource management allows efficient file authorization, browsing, format-conversion, storage and playout in shared-media networks.

Occupying an 8U chassis, the DP-Edit-Plus consists of five modules: software codec, effects engine, hardware driver, resource manager and Dayang Redbridge I/O board. Each module can be individually upgraded in line with technical advances and evolving standards.

Compatible with DV/DVCAM/DVCPRO 25/50, MPEG-2 and MXF, DP-Edit-Plus can perform fast ingest of video, audio and remote timecode. I/O connectivity includes embedded SDI, 4:2:2 component YUV and key. High and low resolution elements and streamed-media clips can be ingested simultaneously.
