Corplex Installs ADC Patching in Production Vehicles

Lake Bluff, Ill.-based Corplex Inc. has added ADC’s ProPatch Miniature (PPM) high-definition video patching system to two of the company’s mobile production units.

“As the broadcast market changes and the demand for higher bandwidth gear increases, the space on our mobile production units is still limited to 53 feet and 80,000 pounds, so we are constantly looking for new advancements and products that can help us utilize this same space in better ways,” said Dave Greany, Corplex vice president and partner. “ADC’s ProPatch Series frees up valuable space in the mobile unit by providing 30 percent more density. This translates into a third less space and half the weight of a normal patch bay so I can get more equipment in the truck.”

The ProPatch video patching systems are installed in Corplex’s Iridium and Zinc trucks, along with ADC’s ProPatch audio patch panels. As a result, more of the valuable rack space real estate in the production vehicles is available for other production gear.

“ADC is pleased to play a role in providing high-performance and reliable broadcast connectivity solutions for Corplex’s mobile production units at these major events,” said Jaxon Lang, ADC’s vice president of global connectivity solutions for the Americas.
