Concurrent teamed with Cox On-Demand
By TVTechnology published
Concurrent Computer, a provider of on-demand television technology, teamed with Cox Communications to present an on-demand branding opportunity for broadband operators at the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) Digital and Broadband Conference March 9-11 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
Concurrent highlighted Cox’s FreeZone application, which allows viewers to experience an interactive advertising VOD session — at their discretion — through use of a remote control.
Concurrent also highlighted its MediaHawk 4G On-Demand platform, fourth-generation technology that offers the ability to incrementally scale streams, storage and content ingestion independently. Integral to the MediaHawk platform, Concurrent’s MediaMatrix enables this separation of streaming, storage and ingest, giving operators the ability to respond to fluctuating demands and increasing amounts of content, including capabilities to support network-based digital video recording.
