Comcast Now Offering 500 HD ‘Choices’

It’s not exactly the 500-channel universe yet, but Comcast said this week it is now offering up to 500 HD “choices” to its subs—mostly available through its premium On Demand and VOD services. The nation’s largest cable firm also said it will add another 150 hours of HD television programs from premium channels Starz, Showtime, Encore and MoviePlex. Different HD titles will be available on a monthly basis.

Some current TV and movie HD titles available this month include: “Field of Dreams,” “Dexter,” “Jumanji,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Step Up,” “Dirty Dancing,” “The Guardian,” “The Tudors,” “Weeds,” “Casino Royale,” “Babel,” “Meet the Robinsons,” “Ratatouille,” “Déjà vu,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,” “Spider-Man 3,” “Dazed and Confused,” “Wes Craven’s New Nightmare,” and “Cry-Baby.”
