By TVTechnology published
Channel One (?????? ?????), the largest broadcast station in Russia, is adopting Panasonic Broadcast P2 solutions for tapeless video production.
The broadcaster is taking more than 50 AJ-SPX800 P2 camcorders and a dozen AJ-HPM100 P2HD mobile recorders for its news production operations. The transition of the news production department to a tapeless infrastructure will take place this summer, facilitated by Moscow-based systems integrator Okno TV, the general contractor for the project.
The AJ-SPX800 DVCPRO P2 features solid-state memory recording and IT domain integration. It combines a 2/3-inch 3-CCD camera with 24 fps and 30 fps progressive and 60 fields interlace recording in 25 Mbps DVCPRO and 50 Mbps DVCPRO50 format on a P2 card.
