Canon will debut the first broadcast 100X lens, the DIGI SUPER 100xs at IBC2002.

The DIGI SUPER 100xs, or XJ100x9.3B IE-D, is a triple digit zoom lens. Features include a speed of F/1.7, a weight of 23.5kg (50.18 lbs), which is the same weight and size as the XJ86xs, and Canon’s Image Stabilization technology. This technology provides viewers with shake free images that offer incredible detail. The M.O.D. from lens front is 3.0 meters.

All DIGI SUPER lenses incorporate Canon’s second generation Digital Servo System, which delivers improved operation ease through features like CAFS (Constant Angle Focusing System), Speed Preset, Shuttle Shot and Framing Preset, Digital Zoom Demand, Digital Focus Demand, and ‘Endless’ Digital Focus Demand.

The Canon DIGI SUPER 100xs joins the XJ86xs, XJ86xs TELE, XJ75xs and XJ72xs in Canon’s line of XJ field lenses. Each lens brings Canon’s optics and future-proof HD/SD capability to the production of sports, entertainment and more.
