Canada: Key Digital Debuts HD Distribution Amp

Key Digital Systems has introduced its KD-CDA3 three-channel HD component video and audio distribution amplifier. Supporting up to 1080p analog video and 300 MHz via component video (YpbRr) or VGA (RGBHV) without audio, it's targeted to small-scale distribution applications. Key Digital said in a statement its device can interface HD/SD video-audio sources to three independent video displays and sound systems.

It reportedly will accept all analog source inputs (DVD, gaming console, set-top box, DVR or VCR) in all video formats, and will drive up to three analog-input displays. Video distribution is adaptable for composite and S-Video SD applications with adapters. Audio is analog stereo or digital (PCM).

The KD-CDA3 is expandable and its circuitry supports cables up to 300 feet.
