Sinclair Broadcast Group had third quarter results slightly higher than an earlier, lowered projection, thanks to more political revenue than previously anticipated.
The company's preliminary Q3 results are now reported as $150.1 million (including $8.7 million in political revenues), just up from $149.4 million in last year's third quarter.
Aug. 6, Sinclair projected Q3 revenues of $152.4 million to $154.4 million, including $9.7 million in political dollars. Sept. 22, the company lowered the estimate to $149.4 million (including $8 million in politicals)—flat with the performance of last year.
Sinclair will issue its full Q3 report Nov. 5.
