Camera Corps Chooses Leader LV5800

London-based rental house Camera Corps has purchased a Leader LV5800 HD/SD-SDI multistandard waveform monitor.

The company said it found the LV5800 analyzer, which offers 1080p HD signal handling via a dual link interface and can also display eye patterns, at NAB2007 in April. Leader’s LV5800 enables multiple SDI or HD-SDI sources to be studied simultaneously. Eight sources can be monitored at once using automatic alarm settings to sense level, rise time, fall time and jitter. Four channels can be displayed simultaneously.

“Camera evaluation and maintenance are a vital part of our activity,” said Jim Daniels, technical director at Camera Corps. “The LV5800 is modular so is configurable to meet current requirements with the option of adding further facilities if and when the need arises. It has proved an excellent investment and one we are delighted to recommend to anyone else involved in camera testing.”

Camera Corps provides specialty camera equipment to multicamera sports events, natural programs and reality TV shows. The company is providing more than 90 remotely controllable HD cameras for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
